The avocado is a unique fruit with lots of good fats and multivitamins. It is technically a single seed berry with powerful health benefits supported by studies. It’s soft when ripe and easy to make yummy dip guacamole with good flavour and rich texture. It is also termed as a superfood due to its high nutrient value. It is abundant in vitamin B5,B6,C, high fatE, K, Folate, and potassium as well as small amounts of Vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, Magnesium, Manganese, Copper, Iron, Phosphorus, and Zinc. It is a low carb friendly food and does not contain any sodium or cholesterol and is also low in saturated fat.

Avocados are a major source of potassium which helps reduce blood pressure and thus reducing the risk of strokes, heart attacks, and kidney failure. High-fat food and contains oleic acid which is mono-saturated oil and reduces inflammation and chances of cancer.

Avocados are a high fibre fruit. Fibre is an indigestible plant material which also contributes to improved metabolic rate, weight loss, reduced blood sugar and lower risks of many other diseases.

Some of the nutrients like vitamin A, D, E, K and some antioxidants in our food are fat soluble and combining avocado with other plant foods can help us to absorb these fat-soluble nutrients and help the body utilize them. It’s not wrong to say that avocados are not only nutritious but they also increase the nutritional value of other plant foods. Vegetarians should seriously add avocados to their vegetarian diet in order to reap the full benefits of being a vegetarian.
